Emily Dickinson

This Time I want to introduce an excellent poetry:
"Emily Dickinson"; I wonder when I read for first time her best Known poem, " Just lost when I was Saved".

Emily Elizabeth Dickinson (December 10 1830-May 15 1886)
She was an American POet, born in Armherts, Massachusetts, to a succesful familiy with strong community ties, she lived a mostly introverted and reclusive life.
Although Dickinson was a prolific private poet, fewer than a dozen of her nearly eighteen poems were publisehd during her lifetime, the work that was during her life time was usualy altered significantly by the publishers to fit the conventional poetic rules of the time.

Dickinson´s poems are the unique for the era in wich she wrote; they contain short lines, typicaly lack titles, and oftne used slant rhyme as well as unconventional capitalization and punctuation. Many of her poems deals with themes of deaht and immortality, two recurring topics in letters to her frinds.

Although most of her acquaintances were probably aware of Dickinson´s writing it was not until after her death in 1886, when Lavinia, emily´s younger sister, discovered her cache of poems.
Her first collection of poetry was published in 1890 by personal acquaintances.
Despite unfavorable reviews and skepticims of her literary prowess during the late 19th and early 20th century, critics now consider Dickinson to be a major American poet.
